There are many ways to get involved with BrainSTEM, whether you’re a student looking to join our community, interested in leading a chapter, mentoring youth, or supporting our work through partnerships and collaboration.
Description:
As a General Member, you’ll have access to BrainSTEM events, volunteer opportunities, workshops, guest speakers, resources, and other member activities.
Eligibility
High school students or undergraduate university students interested in STEM, volunteering, and getting involved in the BrainSTEM community.

Do I need prior experience to apply?
No prior experience is required for general members. We welcome students at all experience levels who are interested in learning, volunteering, and getting involved.
Who can apply to get involved with BrainSTEM?
BrainSTEM welcomes high school and undergraduate students interested in STEM, healthcare, research, volunteering, leadership, and community involvement.
Are opportunities in person or virtual?
Opportunities may be in person, virtual, or a combination of both, depending on the event.
How much time is the commitment?
Members can choose their participation based on their interests and availability.
When will I hear back after applying?
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Selected applicants will usually be contacted with next steps within 3 weeks of submitting their application.
What opportunities are available to members?
Members have access to exclusive volunteer opportunities, workshops, guest speakers, educational events, mentorship, community initiatives, and other STEM-related experiences.
Can I join if my school does not have a BrainSTEM club?
Yes. You can join BrainSTEM as a general member even if your school does not have a BrainSTEM club.
